Northern Lakes Economic Alliance:  The Northern Lakes Economic Alliance provides resources for communities and entrepreneurs to create and retain jobs in Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan & Emmet Counties. Looking to start a business? Their Entrepreneurial Toolkit contains local resources on creating a business plan, financial planning, marketing and more.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation: The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is the state's marketing arm and lead advocate for business development, talent and jobs, tourism, film, and digital media incentives, arts and cultural grants, and overall economic growth.

Michigan Small Business Business Development Center (SBDC): The Small Business Development Center enhances Michigan’s economic well-being by providing counseling, training, secondary market research for new ventures, existing small businesses and advanced technology companies. Their Guide to Starting and Operating a Small Business gives checklists and consultation tips for all steps of business planning - starting, succession planning, marketing, financial management, and more.

SCORE: SCORE is a nationwide organization of business men and women who volunteer their services to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs. SCORE provides free business mentoring and offers low-cost workshops on a variety of business topics.
