Find below a list of local economic development stakeholders and business resources.

Northern Lakes Economic Alliance:  The Northern Lakes Economic Alliance provides resources for communities and entrepreneurs to create and retain jobs in Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan & Emmet Counties. They offer business support for site selection, local incentives, development, data, and more.

Michigan Small Business Business Development Center (SBDC): The Small Business Development Center enhances Michigan’s economic well-being by providing counseling, training, market research and more. Their Guide to Starting and Operating a Small Business gives checklists and consultation tips for all steps of business planning - starting, succession planning, marketing, financial management, and more.

SCORE: SCORE is a nationwide organization of business men and women who volunteer their services to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs. SCORE provides free business mentoring and offers low-cost workshops on a variety of business topics.

Venture North: Venture North is a Community Development Financial Institution, a non-profit lender, providing low cost loans and no cost consulting to small business owners who may not qualify for loans from traditional banks such as those in rural areas or low-income earners, often filling the gap in business lending needs.
