The Apple Festival was started in 1979 as a way to honor local orchards and growers. It has grown to include a craft show, entertainment and children’s activities. More than 30 types of apples, including the hard to find “antique varieties”, will be on hand as well as other fall harvest items such as pumpkins, squash, jam, honey and cider just to name a few. This three day event is a wonderful way to experience the beauty of autumn in downtown Charlevoix. It is always held the second weekend of October.
