A key component of doing business in Charlevoix County is convenient, multimodal transportation. U.S. 31 and U.S. 131 run through the county as northsouth thoroughfares, connecting the area to I-75. M-32 and M-66 link the southern part of the county with the expressway. Each community has its own airport, enabling easy access to traveling executives and freight.
Charlevoix's airport has a modern passenger terminal, 4,550 feet of runway and 24-hour repair service for aircraft, including small jets. Charter service, to Beaver Island and beyond, is available in Charlevoix through Island Airways and Fresh Air Aviation.
