Ambassadors
Chair: Alicia Mosher
Purpose: To effectively promote membership to the Chamber to new and prospective members, while encouraging current members to maximize their membership. Ambassador members are volunteer liaisons between members and the Chamber staff, and will achieve this mission through attending Chamber events, Ambassadors meetings, and having awareness about Chamber events/programs to share with other members.
Meeting Dates: The ambassadors committee meets the second Monday of each month at 9am.
Business Expo
Chair: Mark Greyerbiehl
Purpose: Supports and promotes area business by providing a dynamic platform for business and industry leaders to meet with potential clients and customers to let them know how their business can uniquely benefit them, while solidifying client relationships through face to face interaction and networking.
Car Raffle
Chair: Kirby Dipert
Purpose: Annual Chamber fundraiser and networking event.
Economic Development Committee (EDC)
Chair: Tom Conlan
Purpose: Promotes the retention and expansion of local area industries, and activiely seeks out suitable new businesses and industries to encourage and aid them in locating into the Charlevoix area. Provides support for retail, hospitality, service, education, affordable housing and more.
Events and Functions
Chair: Executive Committee
Purpose: To provide guidance and assistance to the many Chamber events including, but not limited to: Apple Fest, Charlevoix Art and Craft Show, Farmer’s Market, and Summer Solstice Art Show.
Golf Outing
Chair: Steve Seely
Purpose: Organize an outing for Chamber members which is a fun networking event and a source of revenue for the Chamber.
Government Affairs
Chair: Executive Committee
Purpose: Heighten awareness of issues pertinent to the business community and ensure that government at the local and state levels is responsive to those issues.
Leadership Charlevoix County
Chair: Executive Committee
Purpose: To inspire individuals to participate in leadership roles by gaining an understanding of various community sectors while strengthening individual leadership skills to help solve future community challenges.
Public Relations
Chair: Board of Directors
Purpose: Improve the Chamber's communication among members and the community to increase membership knowledge of and participation in the Chamber. Assist in gaining better public awareness and exposure throughout the community.
Retail Committee
Chair: Jacq Dipert and Jodi Bingham
Purpose: Coordinates activities, events, and promotions to benefit the retail community of Charlevoix. This involves, but is not limited to, promotion of Sidewalk Sales, Merchants Christmas Open House, Flurry Fest, Easter Egg Hunt and various advertising promotions and special events.
Meeting Dates: The retail committee meets the third Thursday of each month at 8:45 am at the Chamber office.
Scholarship Committee
Chair: Kim Swidorski
Purpose: To establish and award a scholarship to a Charlevoix graduate.
